I wanted to get away from illustration for this one, so I set about making a little dude out of gold (oh ok, foil) then photographed it. I always have fun getting all Blue peter with some PVA.

Poster for Beach Creep and Flux=Rad present…Cut Ribbons at The Shacklewell Arms, London, on 9 March.
I had this idea and wasn’t sure whether to hand-draw it or try to photograph it. Had to get this one done pretty quickly, so I ended up doing a Blue Peter-style photoshoot in the kitchen with some sheets of paper, a ribbon and a lamp. Love how film noir it turned out. Thanks to Jenny for giving me a hand (boom boom).

Poster for the first London-based Simply Rad night on 7 March, featuring Dry the River performing a special acoustic set.
I thought it would be good to tie the London night to the Cardiff one with the same style, but with a continuing story too. The lightning-zapped dude from the first Cardiff poster has made his way to the cemetery; he’s joined by the skeletons of the cover stars from Dry the River’s recent releases.

Loving this series - sometimes it’s a bit more of a challenge working in just two colours but it looks really striking.
